As an employee of the Jagiellonian University you can join the Multisport Card Programme. The Multisport Card enables you to use approx. 1,600 sports and recreation facilities throughout Poland free-of-charge or at a reduced price.

The JU Physical Education and Sports Office is responsible for organising sports classes as well as promoting the University through sport. To this end, it organises various sports events for students and staff, including ski camps, rowing races and university Cooper tests.

The Jagiellonian University organises affordable domestic and international trips. These events are open to the Jagiellonian University staff, retirees and pensioners, as well as their spouses and children.

The University May Day is a picnic organised to celebrate the Jagiellonian University Festival, organised every year on one of the May weekends. The event is addressed to employees and their families. The May Day offers numerous competitions and attractive games for children.

The Jagiellonian University runs a number of the so-called Creative Work Houses (guesthouses) located in Zakopane, Rabka and Ustroń, which can be used by all employees for a holiday stay with their family at affordable prices.

All university employees can take advantage of the rich and diverse collections of the Jagiellonian Library, including access to databases purchased by the Library. The Jagiellonian Library also offers the Jagiellonian Digital Library – you can use it to obtain access to digital works and objects. The JDL’s resources are systematically expanded through the digitisation of subsequent collections.

The Botanic Garden of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow was established in 1783 and is currently the oldest garden of its kind in Poland. For more than two hundred years, it has played an important role in the development of science, education and culture as a place of research, artistic inspiration and a “living museum” of the flora of the world, visited by thousands of people every year.
