International mobility

Supporting the mobility of academics is a priority for the JU activities. Through its offer of numerous projects, competitions and international internships the University provides assistance in improving professional skills and supports the development of an academic career. By implementing its personnel policy, JU promotes the mobility of university staff members, which in turn enhances motivation for professional development and increases the quality of research work. Academic exchange facilitates and develops the mobility of research and teaching staff between academic centres, both national and international.

The University's initiatives aimed at supporting international mobility and building international partnerships include the following:

As part of the didactic and educational minigrant Mobility: summer and winter schools within the Heritage Priority Research Area the University co-organises events such as summer and winter schools, together with foreign academic centres.

In a consortium with foreign institutions, the Jagiellonian University implements the COMORELP project (Collaborative Monitoring of REgional Lifelong learning Policies), the aim of which is to create an open platform for international cooperation to improve and compare regional policies and initiatives in the field of lifelong learning.

JU staff members have the opportunity to participate in the ERASMUS+ Programme, i.e. international travels for educational purposes, the aim of which is to develop international partnerships between universities, HEIs and high schools, as well as enterprises and non-profit organizations in order to strengthen innovation and build knowledge.

The PROM Programme is the exchange programme dedicated to PhD students and academic staff members.
