On 15 April 2021, by the decision of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, the following bodies were established for the period from 1 April 2021 to 31 August 2024:

The Steering Committee for monitoring the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers, the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and Policy of Open, Transparent, and Merit-Based Recruitment to Jagiellonian University

The Working Group for the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers, the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and Policy of Open, Transparent, and Merit-Based Recruitment to Jagiellonian University

The process of implementing the HR Strategy for Researchers is supported by:

Coordinator for the HR Excellence in Research Affairs (JU- EC Communication)

It is the Working Group for the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers, the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and Policy of Open, Transparent, and Merit-Based Recruitment to Jagiellonian University who is responsible for the process of implementing the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, including updating the action plan, monitoring the progress of work and informing the academic community about the tasks carried out.

The Steering Committee members are:

  1. prof. dr hab. Piotr Jedynak – Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Financial Management – Chairperson;

  3. prof. dr hab. med. Tomasz Grodzicki – Vice-Rector for Medical College;

The tasks of the Steering Committee include setting strategic directions, making key decisions and systematic monitoring of the progress of tasks resulting from the HR Excellence in Research award granted to the University, as well as monitoring the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers, the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and the Policy of Open, Transparent and Merit-Based Recruitment, hereinafter referred to as "the OTM-R Policy", at the Jagiellonian University.

The Working Group members are:

  5. dr hab. Katarzyna Kurpiewska – Faculty of Chemistry;
  6. dr hab. Marcin Grabowski – Faculty of International and Political Studies;

  8. mgr Dorota Buchwald-Cieślak – Research Support Centre;

The tasks of the Working Group include:

  • analyzing internal legal acts and practices within JU in accordance with the criteria of relevance for the goals, terms, and principles of the European Charter for Researchers, the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and the OTM-R Policy;
  • initiating actions for the effective implementation of principles following from the HR Excellence in Research accreditation obtained by the University;
  • updating the action plan for the years 2021–2024 and monitoring the implementation stage of the objectives specified in the HR Strategy for Researchers of the Jagiellonian University;
  • reporting to the Steering Committee and the European Commission on the progress of the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers, the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and the OTM-R Policy.

The HRS4R process coordinator appointed by the University is responsible for direct contact with European Commission experts and for managing the JU account on the EURAXESS portal. This function is performed by mgr Dorota Buchwald-Cieślak – the Director of the Research Support Centre.
